For many years, I had the gift of standing beside my father, Peter Yarrow, on stages across the country.
We sang together in schools, concert halls, and community spaces, sharing the music he created with Peter, Paul and Mary, and the songs that carried messages of kindness, courage, and hope. Those moments shaped my life, not only as a musician, but as a human being learning what it means to use music in service of something larger than ourselves.
This series of concerts is my way of continuing that journey with him.
Though my father is no longer physically here, his voice, his spirit, and the songs he loved so deeply remain very much alive. In these performances, I’ll be singing many of the songs we once shared together—songs that have comforted people, brought communities together, and reminded us of the power of compassion.
More than anything, this tribute is about carrying his legacy forward. My father believed deeply that music could help heal the world, and that each generation has the responsibility to keep those songs alive. At a time when the messages in these songs feel newly urgent—when empathy, justice, and community matter more than ever—I hope these concerts can help introduce this music to a new generation, just as it once inspired so many before.
